A maintenance project years in the making is now complete inside Addicks Reservoir!
Over time, sediment buildup and erosion reduced the capacity of several channels within the reservoir. Our maintenance team removed sediment, stabilized eroded areas, and repaired cracks in concrete lining to restore them to their original capacity.

This work complements another project upstream of Addicks Reservoir, where crews will rehabilitate channels through 2030.
Both projects address maintenance needs that crews previously had to defer because dedicated maintenance funds were not available. They are part of our increased investment in maintenance to preserve and strengthen existing flood control infrastructure.
