A three-month maintenance project addressing channel erosion along a tributary of White Oak Bayou is complete!
Maintenance crews worked east of the intersection of Fairbanks North Houston Rd. and Battleoak Dr. to repair about 700 feet of toe line erosion, which is damage or erosion at the bottom of the slope where stormwater gradually washes away the soil. We also replaced two failing interceptors and outfall pipes — the structures that move stormwater from the surrounding area into the channel.

With a stable bank and reliable pipes back in place, this channel can do its job the way it was intended.
