Years of stormwater conveyance have taken a toll on the Rolling Fork channel — a White Oak Bayou tributary in northwest Houston — resulting in erosion and sedimentation, which reduces how efficiently stormwater can be conveyed. Our maintenance team is making repairs to restore the channel and address areas that have deteriorated over time.

The work underway between Bobby Jack Ln. and Rodney Ray Blvd. includes:

• Repairing erosion and slope failures
• Removing sediment buildup
• Realigning the channel
• Replacing damaged outfall pipes

Construction is anticipated to be complete in the first quarter of 2027.

This deferred maintenance project tackles repairs that were previously delayed due to lack of dedicated maintenance funding. It is part of our increased investment in maintenance to preserve and strengthen our flood control infrastructure.
